It took a mountain of determination to make this album. There were some challenges in making this album. The biggest one was the global pandemic. Just as the Kickstarter campaign was funded and I began the journey to write/record the album, we suddenly were quarantined and our world went into a panic. I started to homeschool my 4 year old daughter. After putting her to sleep, I would sneak quietly into the bathroom or clothes closet or any space where she couldn’t hear me sing - to write songs with a notepad and pen. I felt tired and exasperated and questioned if I had the strength to write and produce an entire album. In addition to the pandemic, I dealt with other stressful matters that put me into emotional distress. I felt as though there was a huge glacier in front of me that I had to climb.

 But some thing happened that was magical. When I put pen to paper, the songs came pouring out, one by one. In fact i couldn’t stop writing music. When I would sit at the piano to teach my daughter how to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, an unexpected song would just - happen. I would have to quickly press record on my phone - as in these odd moments, songs were coming out….

 Because of the pandemic, I couldn’t go into a professional music studio and work with producers/engineers, which is what I did on my last 2 full length albums. I had to self-produce the album at home. At first, I was afraid to do it and questioned if I could. But once I started to produce it, I loved producing! I felt an incredible creative freedom that I’ve never felt before. All the songs are infused with 432hz frequencies. 432hz frequencies help to reduce anxiety, connect you with your intuition and open the heart chakra. The intention when I wrote this album was: “what can I say to someone or what can I play on the piano to make someone feel more calm? My daughter didn’t understand the mission I was on to make this album, but she was lighting my candle each day and I poured her love into the songs.

 Also, my Patrons (Love Circle) and Kickstarter/Indiegogobackers were cheering me on with such amazing support. The circle of support - pushed me to the finish line. I am forever grateful to my fans, but I don’t really like to use the word fans, it’s more like my “fam”. My soul “fam”, thank you. You did this with me. You’re in every note. This album is not me, it’s us.
 May ‘THE SUN’ bring light into your life and may you always trust your path in life, as much as you trust that ‘THE SUN’ will arrive each day.
